Rick Ross has big offers on the table for his next album, but the Maybach Music Group boss says that his connection to his fans is waning. The legendary rapper says his “greatest times” were at Best Buy when he got to meet the fans to sign CDs —but “it’s cool” he says—because he’s still getting paid.

“I’ve only really released one album since the streaming really been at its strongest point, so for me, of course, my greatest times were when we was at Best Buy for the signings,” Rozay said during his interview. “That was the best feeling versus streaming. Ain’t no real connection with the fans now, to me.”

During a recent conversation with HotNewHipHop, the Biggest Bawse explained his belief that going to a store to purchase an album is a far superior experience to the current era of streaming—and he says it’s all because of the fans.

“I’ve only really released one album since the streaming really been at its strongest point, so for me, of course my greatest times were when we was at Best Buy for the signings,” Ross said during the interview. “That was the best feeling versus streaming. Ain’t no real connection with the fans now, to me.”

He added: “I loved going to autograph day, and the f--king line was from the door all the way down the street. So, the love for the streaming, it’s cool. We still get money, but is it from the streaming, or is it from the brand or Da Boss Rick Ross? Cause regardless, I don’t care what we streaming, Da Boss Rick Ross got demands that’s gotta be met.”

Ross dropped his album Richer Than I Ever Been in December 2021, but he’s already focused on his next release, and the rapper says he’s got “huge” offers on the table.

“I got huge offers on the table right now. Huge huge offers. Conversation with Def Jam. Everybody,” Ross shared. “Everybody wants to be in business with Ricky Rozay. They know when Ricky Rozay wants to make music, I make the best music. When I want huge collaborations it’s easy. I don’t even gotta text n****s. I can have my homies DM a n***a.”
