Charlotte not chosen to host Army-Navy game WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — The city of Charlotte was not selected to host an Army-Navy game. The Queen City was in the running to host one of the games between 2023 and 2027. “While we are disappointed the Army-Navy game is not coming to the south, being a finalist reinforces the fact that high-profile college sporting events are important to Charlotte,” the Charlotte Sports Foundation said in a statement. The Army-Navy game will be played in five cities along the East Coast over the next five years, including stadiums near Boston, Washington, Baltimore, New York City and Philadelphia, according to an announcement Wednesday.
